Rules and Regulations
Arm wrestling follows a set of rules and regulations to ensure fair competition.Only Men are allowed to participate.Competitors sit facing each other with elbows firmly on designated pads, gripping with thumbs interlocked.The grip should be palm to palm with the thumb knuckle visible. Referees assist in setting a fair grip if needed. Maintaining parallel shoulders and limiting body contact with the table is crucial. Matches begin on the referee's signal, and false starts can result in penalties. Fair play is emphasized, prohibiting intentional slips and deliberate fouls for leverage. Some Important fouls include touching a part of your own body during the match, crossing their shoulder into the opposition area, dropping the shoulder below the height of the touch pad, foul language, abuse or poor sportsmanship, Back pressure in an attempt to drag the opponent off toward the centre of the table is not allowed.Referees may stop the match if there's a risk of injury, and unintentional grip breaks may lead to a restart. The objective is to force the opponent's hand, wrist, and forearm to touch their side of the table, with a pin declared when the entire palm touches the pad.Incase of any misconduct, the decision of match referees and the event management team is final.Matches consist of multiple rounds, and the winner is determined by the best of a set number of rounds. In case of a tie, additional rounds may be played. Competitors are expected to display good sportsmanship and respect for each other and the rules throughout the competition.
